Welcome to our Franchise
Child Development Specialists through Sport. At Playball, we use sport as the means, to enrich every aspect of your child's life. We offer a multi-skill programme, for 2 to 8 year olds, providing learning opportunities and experiences relating to the cognitive, physical, social and emotional development of your child.We follow the progression from basic fundamental sports skills, to mini games of tennis, hockey, cricket, rugby, football, basketball, baseball and volleyball. Our action-packed curriculum will engage your little star in fun, age-appropriate, high quality games and activities, ensuring that they have a positive experience with us and enjoy every minute of being physically active!

Ben Harding
Hi, I’m Ben and have been working as a sports coach since 2016. I started with Playball in July 2020 and have loved meeting and working with the children especially seeing them have fun as well as developing their sports skills. I am a keen sportsman, with a passion for handball and football, with me achieving my FA Level 1 coaching in 2018. I look forward to working with your children giving them a fun and engaging learning experience. |

Gareth Hunter
gareth@playballoffice.com // Mobile: 075 387 00951 Hi Everyone, my name is Gareth and I am the Franchise owner for Playball Esher, Walton, Weybridge and Guildford. Originally from South Africa, I have always been passionate about sport, earning provincial colours for rugby, cricket, squash and hockey whilst at school. After completing an Honours degree in Marketing at University, I spent a season playing rugby professionally in the United States before signing with a club in Kent. Although my rugby days are over, I still play club cricket and enjoy my golf thoroughly. I started working for Playball in 2006 before starting my first franchise in 2008. I have a passion for educating and watching the children grow in confidence as they progress through our curriculums is a truly rewarding! |

Franckie Austin
Hello everyone, I’m Franckie and I’ve been part of the Playball team since 2022. My journey here has been incredibly rewarding so far, filled with the joy of helping children grow through sports and movement. With a passion for all sports, especially basketball and football, I focus not only on teaching sports skills but also on nurturing children’s emotional and social development. As both a coach and a role model, I aim to build confidence, teamwork, and life skills in all of my classes. I’m excited to meet you all and support your child’s journey through Playball, helping them thrive in every aspect of their lives! |

Alex O'Neill
Hello everyone, my name is Alex, and I joined the Playball team in 2022.My interest in sports and exercise began in 2017 when I joined the local gym and I have loved it ever since. Soon after, I began training with Walton AC as a sprinter and I competed for both Walton and later Eastbourne when I was down there for university, where I studied sport and exercise science at the University of Brighton. Following university, it was while working at a children’s summer camp, where I introduced two five-year-olds to rounders for the first time, that I realised I wanted to combine my passion for sports with working with children.I look forward to meeting you all and helping to build your child’s confidence so that they are ready to face life’s challenges! |

Megan Shepherd
Hello everyone, my name is Megan and I joined the Playball team in 2022. I am currently studying a b-tec in sports coaching and fitness, which is a level 3 course. I have a passion for sport myself as I play for and captain a football team at the moment. I have a passion for working with children and have previously coached an under 9s girls football team. I love seeing the kids enjoying themselves and having fun, whilst learning new skills and encouraging them along the way. I look forward to making positive relationships with you and your children. |

Laura Mitchell
Hi everyone, I’m Laura. I joined the playball team in 2024. I have a merit certificate in NCFE level 3 sport and physical activity (sport coaching) which I studied at a football college. I have been working with children since I started secondary school (2015) ranging from 2-12 mainly in football, however I have worked in various sport coaching environments. I have also worked at a nursery previously. I play weekly for a women’s football team and I am regularly at the gym. I am keen to develop children’s skills and passionate about building confidence, social skills and most of all having fun! |

Our Camps
Playball holiday camps are tailored to meet the needs of younger children and are based on the fundamental sport skills for tennis, hockey, cricket, golf, football, rugby, basketball, football, volleyball - just about any ball sport you can imagine!The purpose of our Playball holiday camps is to provide high quality, age-appropriate and fun holiday activities for children aged 3-9 years.

Playball Birthday Parties- making your child's special day an active one to remember!Is your child having a birthday party in the next few months?
Concerned about entertaining a rowdy bunch of kids?
Why not have a Playball Party!!
Let our Playball coaches take the reins whilst the parents put their feet up- we will handle all the games and activities for an hour and a half, ensuring that everyone has a fantastic experience on your child's big day!
We are happy to tailor the party to a specific theme, or leave it to us to provide a mix of sports and games that will engage boys and girls alike.

What is included

Itinerary:
1 hour of Playball Games and skills with the coaches
30 minute break for tea and birthday cake with parents, to give the kids a chance to recover.
30 minute treasure hunt, after which the kids get to take their full party bags home.

Cost: The price of a party is determined by the number of children attending:
- up to 10: £175
- up to 20: £225
-up to 30: £275
