Welcome to Playball Active, founded in 2013 by Erin Skeen, a passionate coach who fell in love with the program. Based in central and west Auckland, we proudly serve the suburbs of Mt Albert, Blockhouse Bay, Green Bay, Titirangi, Glen Eden, New Lynn, Te Atatu Peninsula, Henderson, Onehunga, and Mangere Bridge.Our dedicated coaches are passionate about child development, using sports as a tool to nurture the whole child. We build lasting relationships with our young athletes and take joy in watching them grow.

Our Classes
Scroll down to see CLASS VENUES and to BOOK your class!Playball Classes are age specific for children aged 2-9yrs. Classes are run in preschools, schools and in public venues and are aligned with the school terms.

Childcare Centres
Children at the centre can book in and join the class run onsite at daycare! No more rushing here and there and everywhere to get to extra curricular activities between all the other things in your week!
Public Venues
We work very closely with our community and are proudly supported by the Whau Local board and the Henderson-Massey Local Board to offer public preschool classes in the following venues.

School classes for children aged 5-9yrs
School classes are run either before school from 8-8.40am, at lunch time, or after school from 3-4pm. Children at the school have priority for these classes however if there are spaces (from week 2) and children from other schools would like to join us there may be an option to do so. At after school classes coaches are onsite from the bell and can collect children from their classes in year 1 and 2. Parents are welcome to come in for the session or pick up after the class.

Our Camps
Playball Active runs 2hr workshops in the school holidays!!Playball workshops are tailored to meet the needs of children ages 4-9years and are based on the fundamental sport skills for a range of popular sports as well as team and partner work, confidence, perseverance, trying something new and having FUN!!
The purpose of our Playball holiday workshops is to provide high quality, age-appropriate and fun holiday activities for children aged 4-9 years at a low cost for families. The workshops will keep kids active and off devices while parents can get in a couple of hours work or time to themselves. Win Win!

Schools
We work in preschools and schools throughout the week. Classes are split according to age and run with a maximum child:coach ratio of 10:1.School classes are run either before school from 8-8.40am, at lunch time, or after school from 3-4pm. Children at the school have priority for these classes however if there are spaces (from week 2) and children from other schools would like to join us there may be an option to do so. At after school classes coaches are onsite from the bell and can collect children from their classes in year 1 and 2. Parents are welcome to come in for the session or pick up after the class.
During our fast paced, fun 30-45min session we cover skills ranging from gross motor movement like jumping and running to basics in sport like catching, throwing, dribbling, hitting to name a few! Promoting physical, cognitive, emotional and social development our games/classes have been developed improved and re-designed over the past 35 years.
Playball Active delivers classes in 6 primary schools, however there are 7 franchisees across Auckland so be sure to check your location in 'find classes here' as Playball may well be at your school too!
