Welcome to our Franchise
Using sport as the means, we provide our tamariki in Hamilton with a sound base from which to develop every aspect of their lives.The aim of Playball is to introduce young children to constructive and enjoyable sport participation through various age-appropriate programs. All of the programs have a "multi-activity" approach, ensuring a competent foundation in all the popular sports played at school.
Classes are taught in small groups to ensure maximum participation, while also allowing individual coaching throughout the class.
Playball is:
- An international sports program!
- A chance to try activities such as hockey, football, tennis and many more sports in a safe space! - A chance to learn new skills and improve, improve, improve!
- We encourage a lot of practice time, so the children can use the skills and techniques they have learnt.
Above all, your child will have heaps of fun!!!

I saw that there wasn't the provision for early years sport in Hamilton so saw a great opportunity to introduce sport to the tamariki. Originally from the UK, I come from a Sport and Exercise Science background - graduating in 2019. Playball allows me to put that into practice and explore the 'why' when participating in sport. I've absolutely loved coaching over the last few years and seeing all the children grow and develop their skills. It's great to see the children gain the confidence to try out new things! |

Coach Lauren is the warm and caring coach that the little ones just LOVE! She's previously worked as a teacher aide in a primary school and has plans to go on to study speech and language therapy! |

Our Camps
Christmas camps, Summer camps, Easter camps....we have multiple camps throughout the year.These are fun filled days of both Playball activities and awesome new games!
We incorporate a theme to our camps so all of our activities are geared towards that for maximum enjoyment.
A typical day in a Playball camp includes
- 2 fun Playball sessions (a masterclass in a sport each day)
- Arts and crafts
- Snack and lunch time
- Treasure hunts!
- Team games
- Chant off

Parties
Have you got a little one's birthday coming up?We run fun filled Playball parties that we can cater to the children's interests! Think Pirates, Superheroes, Fairies!
The parties are adapted to your needs, and are a mix of all of the children's favourite Playball games.
Parties also include a Playball T-Shirt for your childl!

Schools
We are always on the look out for new schools around Hamilton to do Playball!Currently at St Joseph's Catholic School and Hamilton East Primary, the children are enjoying learning new skills and sequences at Playball. Coaching ages 5-9 year olds, after creating a sound base of skill actions, we begin tying those skills together in sequences! Come along and join us learning new sports!
We pick the children up from school, and then parents can collect them at 4pm.
We also have a community class for ages 5-9 year olds are Claudelands Park which we always welcome new children to! This runs on Thursdays from 3:45 - 4:30pm (weather dependent).
